Jay Corre is a very solid
musician.who has been in the big band sideman ranks for many years, a
charter member of the Buddy Rich Big Band of the 60's and playing the
LA. jazz club scene in the 50's. This album as leader of the session,
shows Jay playing maturely with sound ideas and great musical
sensibility, plus he has great chops. This album is the sort of
unpretentious jazz music that deserves a place on your record shelf you
like straight-ahead, uncomplicated jazz.

instrument with amazing results. Having traveled five years, with
Freddy Cole, his anticipation and sensitivity are as evident as his
daring harmonic solos . A charter member of the Sam Rivers Group and a
respected composer as well, Phil's playing indicates his command.
Carl Mottola tasty and swinging, has backed acts,
made the recordings and jazz gigs around Philadelphia for years. A
schooled drummer, Carl can spark a big band or.a quartet with equal
skill. His vast wealth of experience and versatility are most welcomed
